Introduction

This week’s lesson is a sensitive area for some people because they think of it as a source of motivation, but in my experience I’ve found it to cause much more harm than good. What I’m talking about is having a goal to look like you did when you were much younger.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say they want to look like they did when they were 20 (even if they’re now 50). The problem with this kind of thinking is that it sets you up for failure because no matter how good of shape you get in, you’re not going to look 30 years younger….
and THAT’S OKAY!!!!

You want to set a goal where you look/feel your best now. Take some time and create an image of you at your goal weight, strength, flexibility, etc. at the age you are NOW.
